St. Louis NEDA Walk

Today, Kat and I participated in the St. Louis NEDA Walk! It was incredibly inspiring to be there and see all of the support and progress that has been made in Missouri and nationwide. This was the biggest walk yet in St. Louis. My hope is that it continues to grow and pull people in from all walks of life; those affected by eating disorders and those that are not, but want to do their part to learn more about this deadly disease.

We are excited to continue down this road of educating all who want to listen on the dangers of eating disorders, but also on the beauty of recovery!

Enjoy a few pictures from the walk today!

  1. Kat,
I heard you speak at McCallum place today. Your story was very moving and powerful. Your courage is enormous and inspiring even to those who have not been affected by this illness. I think it is awsome that you are spreading your message in order to help and make aware those who are experiencing the same difficulties. My 13 year old daughter is being treated for this illness and I only wish she could have heard you today. I will be sharing this site with her in hopes that she will benefit from hearing your story as I myself most certainly have. Keep up the courageous act of sharing your thoughts and experiences. Thanks for being there today ! God’s Blessings to you !

    Respectfully,

    Steve

    1. Steve,
Thank you for the very kind words. Today was all my pleasure. Not only is it good for me in recovery to continue to spread the word and be open with my journey, but hearing from all of the family members was amazing. I salute you for taking the time, not only today, but everyday you are working with your daughter to find a path to recovery. I hope to work with McCallum Place in the future and maybe have the opportunity to speak to those in treatment. I wish you the best of luck during this time. Be patient, be kind. Your daughter needs you and will fight this!

      Best,
      Kat
